Founder and Director

Muriel, a high-level Argentine wrestler, reached 6th place in the world rankings in 2018, proudly and wholeheartedly representing Argentina. His career took him to train and compete in some of the most demanding environments in the world, including multiple stays in Dagestan, Russia — the birthplace of many of the world's greatest wrestlers.

With a vision of uniting continents through wrestling, he founded MK Wrestling, a company dedicated to organizing international training camps for wrestlers of all levels, based in both Spain and the Republic of Dagestan. Its goal is to offer authentic, demanding, and transformative experiences — both athletically and personally.

Muriel not only leads the organization but also personally accompanies athletes on certain trips, ensuring quality, closeness, and a human touch that reflects his own journey as a wrestler and mentor.

MURAD OMAROV

Head Coach

Murad Omarov is a distinguished freestyle wrestling coach with a strong background and extensive experience in the sports scene of Dagestan. A graduate and certified coach from the prestigious Olympic Reserve School in Khasavyurt, Murad has dedicated his life to the development and mastery of freestyle wrestling, both as a competitor and as a mentor.

During his wrestling career, Murad earned multiple medals in regional championships across Dagestan. His dedication and achievements led him to be awarded the title of "Master of Sport of Russia", a highly respected distinction he received twice for his outstanding performances in national tournaments.

As the head coach of MK Wrestling, Murad brings his vast experience and technical expertise to guide athletes in their development and preparation, helping establish MK Wrestling as a benchmark in international wrestling training.

shamil musaev

Guide and Main Translator

Shamil Musaev is in charge of accompanying athletes during their experience in Dagestan as the local guide and lead translator for the MK Wrestling team. Born and raised in Sulak, he speaks fluent Russian, Spanish, English, and Portuguese, making him an essential bridge between Dagestani culture and international athletes.

With a deep connection to the world of wrestling and regional sports, Shamil not only facilitates communication, but also provides cultural context, logistical support, and a warm, personal approach that ensures every visitor feels safe and genuinely welcomed.

His presence is key to helping wrestlers get the most out of each training session, leaving them free of worries so they can fully enjoy every moment of their time in Dagestan.
